• Engineer systems and components for new and updated chassis projects
• Produce 3D CAD models
• Produce 2D engineering drawings
• Produce supporting documentation, calculations, tol stacks etc
• Plan and oversee the delivery of major chassis sub-assemblies or systems
• Assist in drafting and updating chassis design and development procedures.
• Design components and systems to comply with regulatory requirements and internal test procedures
• Liaise with internal functional stakeholders
• Liaise with external suppliers
• Provide engineering guidance to other team members.
• Represent the design team in interdepartmental meetings in the absence of the manager or Team manager.

Knowledge:

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum of 2:1 required

Experience:

• Engineering design of components and sub-assemblies
• Managing a small (1-3) team of engineers
• Proficient in 3D CAD, preferably Creo.
• Proficient in creating and releasing 2D technical drawings.
• Good understanding of geometric tolerances on 2D drawings.
• Excellent knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes.
• Practical experience of vehicle maintenance and preparation is advantageous.
